Welcome to the on-line home of photographer and podcaster Craig M. Durling!

Hello, my name is Craig Durling and I’m a freelance photojournalist based in Los Angeles, California.  I’ve been privileged enough to have my work published worldwide in newsprint, magazines, advertisements, educational materials and on network television.  When I need a break, I enjoy wildlife and nature photography and I spend hundreds of hours a year on the fire lines of Southern California documenting the heroic efforts of emergency workers in their environment.

What you may not know is that I produce and host an internet-based talk show (”podcast”) on photography as it relates to the emergency services.  The show is called “Fireground Action Photography” and as I say in the open of every episode, it’s “the podcast produced by and for photographers specializing in emergency service action photography”.  That being said, the show attracts a worldwide audience and can be of interest to anyone with a passion for photography.  You can read show-notes and episodic information here as well as listen to each episode.  You can subscribe to the show via iTunes or via RSS.  If you’d like the latest “FAP” episode emailed  to you as soon as it comes out, sign up for a free email subscription.

I also host a Flickr Community of Emergency Service Photographers where contributors can post photos, leave comments and freely discuss various topics related to their art.

I periodically share random thoughts or experiences in my blog which you can subscribe to using the links to the right.  You can also read my shorter, more frequent updates by following me on Twitter.

Please wander the links on the page and allow me to share some of my world with you.  I’d love it if you’d drop me a note with your comments, suggestions or just to say hello.
